GOD WANTS “FIRST GLORY” | Bryant Bell

Exodus 15:19–21 (KJV) For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea. 20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. 21 And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; The horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

A. Our way to thank God is to give God “First Glory” for His accomplishments in our lives

B. “First Glory” places God in an unparalleled, unshared position in our praise life

C. We can acknowledge what He does for us but it should be in our hearts to thank Him FIRST

D. Our thankfulness is tied to the conditions of our heart

E. While things might not seem like they are going in the right direction, knowing God will work it out allows us to Glorify Him in advance

F. When praise and worship becomes a lifestyle, it becomes an act of “First Glory” of the Most High God’s sovereign actions in our lives

G. Giving God “First Glory” is important to securing the victory
