Proverbs 2:10–12 (KJV) When wisdom entereth into thine heart, And knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, Understanding shall keep thee: 12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, From the man that speaketh froward things

A. Discretion: (Merriam Webster)
1. The quality of having or showing discernment or good judgment
2. Cautious reserve in speech
3. Ability to make responsible decisions

B. Many of the failures in a Christian’s life is the result of the lack of Discretion

C. People who constantly make bad choices lack discretion

D. Lack of Discretion is what causes people to pass on great opportunities

E. A person with a foolish mouth, a mouth that curses, a mouth with no filter, lacks discretion

F. Discretion is a benefit of being filled with the Holy Spirit

G. Discretion keeps you safe, alive and living well
