THE JOSHUA PRINCIPLE #1

Joshua 1:1–9 (KJV) NOW after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, 2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

A. The Joshua Principles are principles that God gave Joshua for success

B. “Moses My Servant Is Dead” is the first principle of success giving to Joshua

C. “Moses My Servant Is Dead” means Live Like Yesterday is Gone

D. By reminding Joshua that Moses was dead, God was telling Joshua it was time for him to look towards the future

E. “Moses My Servant Is Dead” means there is a new era on the horizon

F. One of the greatest hinderances to success, is paying too much attention to the good of the past

G. God had to remind Joshua that all of Moses’ greatness died with him

H. When we pay too much attention to the greatness of our predecessors, our own potential for greatness may become stagnant

I. You will never feel qualified watching someone who is more qualified than yourself

J. “Moses My Servant Is Dead” means the challenges, obstacles or failures of others are non-transferrable.

K. You cannot let the pain of past situations stop you from the pleasure of your future

L. When Moses died, all of his challenges died with him
