1 Corinthians 7:22–24 (KJV) For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant. 23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. 24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

A. Servanthood is a choice of surrender

B. God will not make you surrender to be His servant, you must make this choice on your own

C. To be a servant, is an act of submission to His sovereignty

D. God can be sovereign in your life by you choosing to serve Him

E. The sovereignty of God is safety for His servants

F. When we trust that what He wants and what He plans for us is better than what we can do for ourselves, it becomes easier to be His servant

G. A servant of God relinquishes his own personal ambitions so God can have space to dictate what we should do for Him

H. Everything a servant does for God, is actually for himself
