John 12:26 (KJV) If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
A. To be God’s servant means to follow Jesus Christ
B. Servants hear God’s voice and do what He instructs them to do
C. Saying we are servants and disregarding God’s voice is proof we are not serving Him
D. We can work in church, preach in pulpits, help many people and never be considered a servant of God
E. A servant is submissive to God’s sovereignty – they give permission to God to be sovereign in their lives
F. God will honor those who are servants because He can trust them to be obedient
G. When God honors His servants, He rewards them to make their service worth the effort
